Built for the way Australian families already live.
We make one thing: a simple wireless SOS button that lets an older Australian press once at home and have their kids, partner or neighbour know about it within seconds.
Why this exists
If you have a parent over 70 in Australia, you've probably looked at MePACS, VitalCall, Safety Link or LiveLife. They're decent products — but they all share three problems most families don't realise until after they've signed up.
- The pendant doesn't get worn. Industry surveys put daily-wear rates between 40% and 55%. The device that's in a bedside drawer cannot save anyone.
- You don't get notified. When the button is pressed, a call centre operator hears it — not you. You only learn what happened after the operator decides what to do, often hours later.
- The bill never stops. $40 to $51 every month, indefinitely, for technology that costs the provider a few dollars a year to run. Over five years a single MePACS unit costs roughly $3,100 in fees alone.
Senior Safe was designed around fixing those three things specifically.
What's different
- The wearable looks like a sports watch
- White silicone wristband with a single discreet button. Pendant included too — wearer picks. We made it look ordinary because the alert system that doesn't look "medical" is the one that gets kept on.
- You get notified, not a call centre
- One press at her place sends a push notification to your phone — and any other family member you've added — within seconds. The base station also sounds an 85 dB siren locally. Both happen simultaneously.
- One payment, no recurring fees
- You pay once. Keep the kit forever. The Senior Safe app for family members is free. No SIM contract, no monitoring subscription.
- Designed with Australian aged-care nurses
- Every design decision — the two-second button hold, the loud-but-not-jarring siren tone, the matte white wearable, the family alert list — came out of conversations with community nurses across NSW and QLD who told us what their patients would and wouldn't accept.
What we're not
Where we are
Senior Safe is operated by Senior Safe Pty Ltd, an Australian company registered in New South Wales. We ship from a fulfillment partner in Sydney, ship Australia-wide, and bill in Australian dollars. The team behind the product is small and local — questions sent to support@senior-safe.com.au are answered by a human in Australia, normally the next business day.
How to get in touch
Pre-purchase questions, after-sales support, returns, refunds, partnerships: all roads lead to our contact page. Or jump straight to the shop if you've already decided.
