Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal information Senior Safe Pty Ltd collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your information.
Last updated: 15 May 2026Senior Safe Pty Ltd (ABN [00 000 000 000], "Senior Safe", "we", "us", "our") is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy applies to information collected through our website, the Senior Safe mobile app, and any other channel through which we interact with you.
1. What we collect
We only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for our functions and activities. The categories of information we collect include:
Information you give us
- Order & contact information: name, delivery address, billing address, email address, phone number.
- Payment information: handled by our payment processor, Stripe Payments Australia Pty Ltd. We do not receive or store your full card number, CVC, or expiry date. We receive only a token reference, the last four digits, the card brand, and the transaction outcome.
- Account information for the Senior Safe app: email address and a password (stored hashed), plus the family members and contact preferences you choose to add.
- Support correspondence: any information you provide when you email us or speak with us.
Information collected automatically
- Website analytics: pages viewed, approximate location (city/state level), device type, browser, referring URL. Collected via Google Analytics 4 in aggregate and de-identified where possible.
- Advertising measurement: if you arrived from an advertisement, we may receive a click identifier from the advertising platform (e.g. Taboola, Meta, Google Ads) to measure campaign performance.
- Cookies and similar technologies: for essential site function and analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser; some site features may not work as a result.
Device data (from the Senior Safe base station)
- Alert events: when a button is pressed, the time, the device that triggered it, and which family members were notified. Visible to you in the Senior Safe app.
- Device health: battery level, signal strength, last-seen timestamp.
- We do not collect audio, video, or GPS location data from the base station or the button. The "Location" tile shown in the app uses the user-entered home address — it is not GPS-tracked from the device.
2. How we use your information
We use your information for the purposes for which you provided it, including:
- Processing your order and arranging delivery
- Communicating about your order, account, support enquiry or return
- Operating the Senior Safe app — including routing push notifications to nominated family members
- Improving the product, app and website
- Detecting and preventing fraud, including via Stripe Radar
- Complying with our legal obligations (tax, accounting, consumer law)
We do not use your information for direct marketing unless you have explicitly opted in. If you do opt in to marketing emails, you can opt out via the unsubscribe link in every message, at any time.

4. Where information is stored
Personal information is stored on servers located primarily in Australia. Some service providers (Stripe, Google) replicate data internationally to provide their services; in those cases, those providers maintain equivalent or stronger privacy protections, including under the EU GDPR and the US-EU Data Privacy Framework where applicable.

Under the Australian Privacy Principles you have the right to:
